Our Programs

Empowering Communities: Fentanyl Awareness & overdose prevenntion workshops

At The Royal Rose Foundation, we are dedicated to combatting the fentanyl crisis through community education and harm reduction strategies. Our Fentanyl Awareness Workshops are designed to provide critical information and life-saving skills, specifically tailored to the unique needs of each community we serve. By partnering with trusted organizations, including the DEA, local law enforcement, and expert guest speakers, we ensure that our workshops are not only informative but also impactful.

What We Offer:

We provide comprehensive Fentanyl Awareness Workshops aimed at educating community members about the dangers of fentanyl and equipping them with essential skills, including how to use Narcan to prevent overdose deaths. Our workshops are free of charge, with no strings attached.

Key Workshop Features:

  • Tailored to Your Community: Each workshop is customized to address the unique challenges and needs of the community, whether it's schools, local businesses, community centers, or other organizations.
  • Expert-Led Sessions: Our workshops feature presentations from DEA agents, local law enforcement officers, and guest speakers who bring firsthand knowledge and real-world experience to the conversation.
  • Narcan Training: We provide hands-on training on how to effectively use Narcan (Naloxone) to reverse an opioid overdose. This life-saving medication is demonstrated by trained professionals to ensure all participants feel confident in an emergency.

Walk-in Narcan Hours

Our Walk-in Narcan Hours provide community members with easy access to Narcan, an essential tool in preventing overdose. During these hours, individuals can drop by to receive Narcan kits, learn how to use them, and gain valuable information on overdose prevention—all in a welcoming and non-judgmental environment.

We believe that access to life-saving resources should be straightforward and stigma-free.

Youth awareness & prevention workshops

The Youth Workshop is a critical program addressing the fentanyl crisis, which has deeply impacted youth across all communities, particularly BIPOC and Latino/x populations. This workshop equips participants aged 13 and older with the tools, knowledge, and resources to respond to opioid overdoses and advocate for harm reduction in their communities.

What to Expect:

  • Expert-Led Training: Facilitators provide clear, hands-on guidance on recognizing the signs of an overdose and administering Narcan (Naloxone) to save lives.
  • Highlighting Youth Impact: Workshops include data from local and national sources to underscore how the fentanyl crisis disproportionately affects young people, particularly in BIPOC and Latino/x communities.
  • Breakout Sessions: Participants rotate through engaging sessions, covering overdose prevention, harm reduction, and building community awareness and advocacy.
  • Guest Speakers: Professionals from the DEA, healthcare experts, and individuals with lived experience share insights and strategies to combat the crisis.
  • Community Support: Catered meals help create a welcoming and safe environment, encouraging connection and meaningful conversations among attendees.
  • Incentives for Engagement: Participants have the opportunity to win raffles and receive gift cards as a thank-you for their involvement.

Why This Program Matters:
The youth Workshop is designed to empower young people with life-saving skills and the ability to support their peers in moments of crisis. By addressing the overdose epidemic head-on and reducing stigma, this program fosters resilience and education in communities disproportionately affected by opioids.
